A seed to sawdust operation

Welcome! I'm Glenn Bailey, and I have been in the forestry business for over 20 years. I am a tertiary trained forester, and have been involved in all aspects of the industry, from seed to sawdust. 
I was involved in experimental hardwood plantations with the Queensland Forestry Research Institute. I worked in large scale commercial forestry with the Qld DPI, and with a Japanese plantation consortium in South Australia. I also worked as a certified soil scientist within the agricultural and mining sectors.
I have owned and operated my own plantations and native forests, achieving noteworthy commercial success. For my plantings, I ensured the quality of my trees by collecting superior seed and growing my own tube stock. I am across all aspects of forest management, including weed control, thinning, forest inventory, and maintaining stand quality and health.
Friday Creek Timber includes my own felling and milling enterprise, and involves do-it-myself harvesting and marketing of quality timber.
I supply sustainable timber and timber products from individually selected trees, and provide a range of services to the farm scale forest grower.
